Marigold is not just a film—it’s an emotion gently unfolding on screen. Directed with grace and subtlety by Anjali Menon, Marigold (2025) invites viewers into a quietly moving world of healing, memory, and personal rediscovery. Set against the backdrop of a sleepy coastal town, the story centers around Meera (Parvathy Thiruvothu), a reclusive artist who returns to her ancestral home after nearly a decade, following a tragic personal loss.
The house she returns to is overrun by silence, shadows, and marigolds—flowers her late grandmother once believed could “guard souls.” As Meera begins restoring the neglected garden, old memories resurface, and unexpected connections bloom.
