Mad Square 2025 Movie Review
Kalyan Shankar’s direction dives deep into silliness, mixing wedding mayhem with a Goa crime-comedy twist. The script leans heavily on funny situations rather than a strong storyline, delivering occasional genius (like the wedding scenes) but stumbling when the jokes fall flat. The move to Goa brings in a crime element—set up by Laddu telling his tale from Tihar Jail—but it’s more about getting laughs than making sense.
Vishnu Oi stands out as the star, his over-the-top despair holding together the film’s high points. The trio’s friendship feels real, with Sangeeth Shobhan shining brightest thanks to his spot-on timing. Narne Nithiin’s growth catches the eye pleasantly, while Ram Nithin stays solid without grabbing the limelight. Priyanka Jawalkar’s part, despite the buzz, isn’t clear yet in early takes—maybe just a flashy touch to the mess rather than a key player.
Shamdat’s visuals keep the energy pumping, and tight editing cuts the fluff, but missing catchy songs or a romance (unlike Mad) seems like a lost chance to boost the mood.
